Tombow + die-namites

Hello and Welcome to the Tombow USA and Die-Namites Blog Hop!

You probably got here from  Peggy Lee Baker’ blog but if you stumbled across my blog go the Tombow USA Blog to start!

I created two cards using the die-namites dies. Both floral because I’m waiting for Spring here in Chicago still. Brrrr it’s been cold. I loved layering and creating backgrounds for them. For this first card I started by blending a few Tombow Markers with the recycled colored pencils to achieve the smooth transition in colors and smooth finish. I raised the center flower with Tombow foam tabs, added some coordinating enamel dots, embossed the sentiment in white to keep the card clean, added a small wood veneer butterfly and finished the card off wtih  white faux stitching.

The next card I created a background as well but on the actual card base. The edges got some black ink to make it pop. You can see the steps I took to created this layered flower below. I used the markers and blender to created some depth on the flowers and leaves. The shimmer is a mist and I LOVE it.
