My project today started with the packaging from the paper pad I received. Did you know the inside has fun little templates? It instantly sparked an idea for me. I always need small tags or gift boxes for family members so I created with a couple of the templates inside the packaging. Here is what those templates look like.

May Arts + G45 Latrice Murphy-1

I chose the pillow box and large tag for my projects today. The Graphic 45 collections are always very timeless and colorful. They are nostalgic and whimsical a bit. The metal keys are the best and can be used on so many different project ideas. I used a few in my pieces below.

For my project I used the following materials:

May Arts Ribbons Used:

1/4″ Twill/Chevron Stripes- Turquoise

5/8″ Crochet- Light celery

Bakers Twine

Graphic 45 Used:

Childrens Hour collection

Other:

Adhesive

Pearls

Liquid Glue

Scissors

Paper Trimmer

Hole punch

3D foam adhesive

For the tag I layered two tag shapes, punched my hole and added a chipboard button, pearls, cardstock punch out piece and metal keys.

The pillow box was fun to create. I wrapped the crochet ribbon around the package three times then added a key and tied it in a knot. It’s ready for a gift card or a small sweet treat.

This chevron ribbon is my most used and most favorite. This pillow box got a larger punched out tag with some 3D adhesive to add dimension. I tied the ribbon through the button and finished it off with only keys.

I can’t wait to give these to someone special. There is so much more for you to see. If you didn’t start the hop on Monday then you need to do that first! The more comments you leave the better chance you have to win the prize below. May Arts and Graphic 45 never disappoint. There are some incredible projects along the way.

Prize: Three winners will be chosen to receive a $25 gift card!

Have fun hopping along. Easter will be here soon so enjoy your family time and possibly get your craft on.

XO,

Latrice

  5. Those chevron stripes are another one of my favorite ribbons from May Arts … they just go so well with Graphic 45 ( such beautiful assortment of colors they have ). And the crocheted lace ribbon such a neat touch to your pillow box. Cute Children’s hour pillow boxes and tags 🙂
