It’s a boy!

Today I’m hosting the Tombow monthly challenge and it’s a baby theme. I share the idea of creating three simple items to bring your baby shower theme all together. I wanted to share with you all the step by step of creating the cake and how simple it really is to make something so custom and so special for a friend.

When I my long time friend Beth’s mom contacted me about helping with the shower I didn’t hesitate to look through my stash to make something really fun for her. The shower was a sports theme for baby baby so I ran with it. Here are looks at the banner, sport ball banner and onesies I made for the party.

The onesies were for the party goers to leave Beth and her new family messages or advice. I will later place those in a photo album for her.The banners were simply die cut of the silhouette, put together with Tombow MONO permanent adhesive and stapled to red ribbon. The diaper cake on the other hand took a little bit more time to prepare. I did however use the same die cuts and chose some coordinating ribbon to wrap each layer with. Here is a  photo tutorial on creating that.

The photos are pretty self explanatory. Please leave any questions in the comment section. It was so fun to make these items for my friend. Her and her mom were so happy. Thanks for stopping by today. I can’t wait to share more with you!
