Falling leaves card with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L + CardMaker Magazine

I receive products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® as a design team member for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.

Today I’m sharing an adorable falling leaves card!

Welcome to Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® + CardMaker® Magazine Blog Hop and Giveaway! Today’s theme is “Wear Your Adhesives on the Outside”, which means using various Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® products with different mediums to customize your projects. I’m using the crafty foam leaves and the 3D Foam squares today. You’ll see the leaves covered in a trio foils on the card front as well the border of the card front.

Here is my card!

Here are step by step instructions on creating this card.

1. I started with a bracket shaped kraft cardstock for my card base and white cardstock. It’s such a classic Fall color. My card is 4-1/4”x5-1/2” that opens vertically. Cover those 3D Foam Shapes with art foil by pressing it directly to the adhesive front of the foam leaves. It creates a fun mix of colors. Below you can see it.

2. Next I trimmed some white cardstock down to 3.5”x4.75” and used 3D Foam squares to adhere that to the card base. Before that I added some adhesive around the edges. I didn’t mind that it wasn’t perfect because then I covered it with foil.

3. Next adhere the white cardstock to the kraft base with 3D Foam squares. Then you can add your stunning foil covered leaves.

4. Now its time to create your sentiment space. Ink the edges of a piece of white cardstock that fit the sentiment you like and add it to the top of the card.

5. Finish the card off with a couple wood veneer leaves and either machine stitching or hand stitching to accentuate the curved edge of the card.

I love how the mix of wood veneer and foil look. Here’s are a couple photos for you to see the details.
