Aurora, IL. Senior Photographer 2017 Senior Recap

Hey lovelies. It’s been quite a while since I’ve blogged. It’s definitely time to get back to it and share with you my amazing Seniors from the past 6 months or so. Below you’ll find information on the location of their shoot and whether they had hair and makeup. Such stunning Seniors.

First I want to mention that I am now booking 2018 Senior Sessions. Senior sessions are incredibly fun.  New this year are destination senior sessions. It’s going to be fun!

First up I’m sharing a few photos from my own nephew Austin’s senior session. Boy sessions are much different than girl sessions. This one was kept to a mini session with one outfit. We shot over 50 images in just 30 minutes. I even coaxed a couple smiles out of him. I’m so glad he loves me enough to do that. Loved what we got so much.

Location: Downtown Itasca, Illinois

Autumn and I met in Naperville for some fun. She had three outfits and a killer hat that truly showed her style. She’s got an amazing smile and fun spirit. She even knew about a really fun spot near the river where she could sit on a grassy area. We walked around finding awesome little spots for about 1-1/2 hours. Outfit changes take a little time, but are always worth it. I mean look at the perfect hat shot! She did her own hair and makeup as well. Stunning for sure!

Location: Downtown Naperville, Illinois

Have you ever met a teenager who just totally lights up a room when she walks in? Camilla was no exception. It didn’t hurt that her mom is one of the best teachers ever! Camilla was adventurous and we met in the City for her session. She had her hair and makeup done by a family friend and it was perfect. We walked from the fountain to millennium park and back to find the best and most colorful spots for her session. We made sure to bring hand sanitizer wipes with us while sitting on city sights, LOL!

Location: Downtown Chicago, Illinois

When I found this next location it was just a normal day out with my kids and I instantly thought, wow, this place is perfect for photos. Tall grasses, gorgeous boardwalk, huge rocks, paths and more. Courtney and I played in the rain a bit for her shoot. We snuck in between thunderstorms before the sunset. She had three outfits that really showed her style. relaxed and bold. This girls smile is perfection. Such a doll.

Being an Aurora Senior Photographer means that I know all the sweet spots here. Deanna was awesome enough to meet me on a super hot July morning for her shoot. She had hair and makeup done by my HMUA. You can add hair and makeup to any shoot for $100 and look stunning also. We went for texture and I wanted to really focus oh her amazing eyes and style. Loved what we got from her session.

My next Senior has the most bubbly personality and was such a fun girl to photograph. We headed to one of my favorite places that consists of so many different great photography spots in one area. There were stairs, walls, water, gorgeous gardens, walkways and so much more. I loved her style and we even able to squeeze in some fun dance shots into her session.

Location: Cantigny Park, Winfield, IL.

Jessica had me meet her at a new location that I hadn’t been to before. She had a great mix of clothing options that really portrayed her style. Loved her gorgeous eyes and a perfect smile.

Jordan was one of two boys I photographed this year. He is serious model material if for some reason sports don’t work out for him. He’s a killer athlete who is one of nicest teenagers I have ever met in my whole life. His black and white football image was so good that it was a finalist in the Shoot and Share photo contest. Placing 149th out of 20,266 Senior images total. I’m incredibly happy with that.

Location: Downtown Elmhurst, IL.

Here is one of my sweet dancers. Lauren is another amazing teen who is involved in so much around her community, dance studio and church. She juggles it all flawlessly and is a joy to be around. We love the area around the dance studio so much that we chose it for her session. Lots of color, lots of fun texture and spots to shoot. So fun.

Location: Downtown Aurora, IL.

HMUA: Jennifer DeSmedt and Lauren

This next session took me to one of my most favorite spots in the whole state of Illinois. Lindsay had a vision of what she wanted from her session and we made it happen. Quick changes out in the open and all this sweet girl rocked her city session. Her stunning blue eyes were magnified even more with the perfectly blue sky. Totally insane and perfect.

Location: Lincoln Park Zoo and  garden grounds

I cannot say enough good things about the way Lindsey worked her session. She moved in a way that I’d usually have to coach clients through. She has a perfect smile and serious face. We visited a local garden park that also happened to have army tanks! She loved this location so we really worked a lot of spots in during her 90 minutes. Check out my two faves from her session.

Sometimes you meet incredible people who have overcome challenges and more. On this shoot day I met Marissa for the first time and we instantly connected. Her session was a total dream. Her clothing choices were fun colorful and totally showed her personality. I got a chance to find even more spots at one of my favorite locations. Check out her stunning eyes and THE DIMPLES!!!

Olivia met me over in Batavia for her session. Usually one of my favorite spots for the Fall. It was stunning during the Summer too. She mixed cute outfits from a sweet leather jacket to the perfect scarf. The gate below is an all time favorite for families and I love how we made it work for her. Love the mix of warm colors and this girls smile is amazing!

Lastly, but definitely not least is Oorvi! Wow is all I can say. She came ready to pose and work. She even did her own hair and makeup. It was gorgeous. The warmth of her session give me goosebumps and her serious look is killer. It’s like she’s staring into your soul. Loved everything about her session. It was fun, the weather was perfect except a super short rain mist that went through. Still awesome though.
